ABOUT

Remy's Origins

He began travelling with a camera while consulting to capture the beauty and diversity he saw across the Australian landscape. This soon led to leaving consulting altogether to travel the world documenting wildlife and natural phenomena. In 2023 he was accepted into the acclaimed Wildlife Filmmaking Masters program at UWE Bristol in educational partnership with the BBC NHU which has helped to finesse his storytelling.

Where next?

Remy aims to tell stories about the flourishing natural world, but he also wants highlight where it's struggling. It's no secret humans are having an effect on the planet's ecosystems, but there's much that can be done to save it. By exploring simple and effective strategies that can be implemented by local stakeholders, he aims to inspire action and showcase that even small accomplishments can have helpful, long reaching effects.

Alpine ecosystems are Remy's specialty and passion and he loves being above the snow line. Working in freezing conditions with the gales blowing snow and ice across the lens is where Remy feels most alive. He hopes this will one day bring him to the Himalayas where he can film the elusive snow leopard. Remy's latest project involves exploring the rugged alpine and snow capped mountains of Australia, in search of a wild old animal friend.

Remy started his career protecting the natural world as an environmental scientist and consultant. He completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Environmental Studies at the University of Sydney, before working on a range of sites across NSW Australia. After a few years however, he became disenchanted with consulting after realising his impact wasn't reaching far enough and his creative skills weren't being utilised.
